Weighted Words - كلام موزون
Weighted words is the first chapter of the book and it consists of a poem written by me called "Unsent Message". It's basically someone who tries to express his/her feelings through Arabic and English languages aiming to convey how can meanings of emotions change through someone's first and second languages.
Love, Perceived - تلقي الحب
In a trial of investigating the relationship between language and emotions, Love Perceived is a chapter which includes a social experiment done in Cairo streets in order to test how can strangers react and perceive kind words written on a small piece of paper.
Languages Perceived - تلقي اللغات
A survey that gathered 100+ responses was done asking Egyptian young adults to describe Arabic and English Languages from their point of view in 3-5 adjectives. Languages Perceived gathers photos generated using AI which aims to visualize the survey's answers.
Love, Expressed - تعبير الحب
Love, Expressed is a chapter which aims to compare between how love used to be expressed in 80s and how love is being expressed in present times.
Fitting In - ملائمة
Fitting in is a ground research based chapter which aims to observe how English language is being perceived and treated as a second language in Cairo. The ground research was conducted by observation and capturing English quotes and sayings on different garments sold and bought in old Cairo.
Interviews - مقابلات
Lastly, interviews were being conducted with experts in the field of psychology, pyschiatry and linguistics in order to fully understand and grasp the relationship between emotions and languages.
